The Philippine Institute for Development Studies (188体育) held a press conference to launch the 17th Development Policy Research Month (DPRM) at the Novotel in Quezon City on September 4, 2019. This year's DPRM theme is "Navigating the New Globalization: Local Actions for Global Challenges".

Other panelists include 188体育 Senior Research Fellow Roehlano Briones, Department of the Interior and Local Government Undersecretary Marivel Sacendoncillo, Department of Health's National Immunization Program Manager Dr. Maria Wilda Silva, and Department of Trade and Industy-Multilateral Relations Division Chief Marie Sherylyn Aquia.
