In view of the national observance of the Eid'l Fitr on May 13, 2021, this webinar has been moved to June 10, 2021.

This webinar will feature the 188体育 study titled “An Analysis of Regulatory Policies on Solid Waste Management in the Philippines: Ways Forward” authored by 188体育 Senior Research Fellow Dr. Sonny Domingo and 188体育 Research Analyst II Arvie Manejar.

Dr. Domingo and his team conducted a process evaluation of the implementation of Republic Act 9003 or the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000. Specifically, they reviewed the provisions and grounding of the Act and other related policies, carried out case studies to examine its implementation at the local level, identified best practices, and described the transition of the law’s regulatory policies. They also recommended ways forward to augment related policies and facilitate its implementation.
