This virtual event is the last of the three-part webinar series organized by 188体育 in collaboration with the Department of the Interior and Local Government. It will feature the study “The Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) as a Local Planning Tool”.

The study examined how the CBMS is being used and implemented in local government development planning. The results showed that majority of municipalities utilize the CBMS, not just for ecological profiling but also for LGU budget preparations and priority setting. However, fewer municipalities allocate funds for CBMS data collection (primarily to hire data enumerators). At the same time, the study found some areas for improvement such as the need to conduct reorientation sessions for LGUs and local planners to update them of the features of the tool, and to guide them on how to use and access CBMS data.
