Philippine Institute for Development Studies President Gilberto M. Llanto welcomed members of the Consumer Protection Group of the Ministry of Economic Affairs of the Royal Kingdom of Bhutan on April 27, 2015. Mr. Jigme Dorji and Ms. Tshering Dem were on a study tour, facilitated by PAIBARE, a development professional鈥檚 fellowship. Mr. Dorji and Ms. Dem sought the professional insight and academic perspective of 188体育 on the status of consumer protection, competition policy, fair trade practices, and regulation in the Philippines. They met with 188体育 experts Roehlano Briones and Sonny Domingo, who shared their relevant experience in the rice and transport industries.
