The threats to the country’s biodiversity are intensifying alongside economic growth. Effective management of protected areas is important in addressing these threats and vulnerabilities. Insights from this study could guide necessary amendments to existing laws, enhancing the overall management and protection of these areas. Strengthening policies on protected area management will play a key role in preserving the nation’s biodiversity, safeguarding the environment for future generations. Identifying gaps in implementation of the ENIPAS Act will be essential to ensure that conservation efforts are both effective and sustainable.
